Business & Dental Assistant
I have been a Dental assistant since 1998. It's a job that I have enjoyed especially because I get to meet and help different people. I joined Dr. Beaty’s team in 2007 as a Dental Assistant and soon became a Business Assistant which I enjoy very much. I'm married and have three children. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and listening to music.

I really enjoy being part of the DB team where everyone is committed to patient care and comfort. In my spare time I love spending time outdoors and traveling with my family.
I have enjoyed being a Registered Dental Hygienist since 1994 when I graduated from Prairie State College. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Health at St. Francis College. Dentistry is an exciting profession forever evolving and advancing. My commitment to continuing education breathes new life into my profession. I believe your health is your greatest wealth, and it all begins with a healthy smile. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, my two rescue Pit Bull mix dogs Bella and Jayda and staying fit.
I became a Registered Dental Hygienist after graduating from William Rainey Harper College in 2016. I completed my Bachelor in Liberal Arts at University of Iowa in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Psychology. The field of dentistry runs in my family with my mom being a Registered Dental Hygienist and my grandmother a Dental Assistant. With the ever evolving world of dentistry, I strive to learn about new technology and current research to provide the best information and care to you for a healthy beautiful smile. I love to say "You're never fully dressed without a smile!" When I'm not in the office, I love spending time along the lake shore trail, exploring hidden gems in the city, exercising, and watching sports.
My love for dentistry has developed and grown since 2014 when I became a dental assistant. I have really come to appreciate the artistic aspect that comes into making people's smiles healthy, as well as, beautiful. I am a very hands-on person and this position really let's me exercise my artistic eye and showcase my skills. I recently joined DBDentistry in June of 2018, I'm excited to embark on this journey and form great relationships with our patients and staff. I am a huge "foodie" and a cat dad, so in my spare time, you'll find me trying new restaurants with my partner and spoiling my cat, "Onyx."
I graduated from Northwestern University Dental Hygiene School with honors in 1980. I finished my degree in Economics at Northwestern in 1989. I planned to pursue a corporate career, but I love clinical dental hygiene! Dental Hygienists are a unique part of the dental team because our focus is on prevention. Being able to help patients keep healthy smiles is important to me.
I am an avid scuba diver. My husband Bill and I walk to keep fit. We have two Norwegian Forest Cats, Hazel and Millie.
I recently joined the DB team as a clinical team member in December 2019 but have been certified since (insert date here). I thrive off of learning new skill sets and being able to apply them in my daily work and at DB Dentistry I am fortunate enough to learn something new every day. I grew up in the suburb of Hinsdale and now live in Canaryville with my handsome cat, Cam. Some of my favorite activities include fencing, tennis, and ballet.
